He has not recovered from an ankle injury and was declared unfit to travel to Lviv. Gladkiy picked up an injury while playing in the Champions League against Malmo this month.

Now Ukraine has only three attackers in their squad. It is going to be a problem for the team as two of the three major attackers are over the age of 30 and are relatively slower and non-threating compared to Gladkiy.

The Football Federation of Ukraine confirmed that they will also be without injured midfielder Rulsan Rotan and Taras Stepanenko for this fixture. Rotan has been ruled out of both the legs where Stepanenko is expected to start in the second leg after completing one match suspension.

It is a do or die game for Ukraine as they have to perfrom well at their home inorder to maintain lead in second leg and secure the spot in the Euro Cup 2016 hosted by France.

Ukraine has only featured in one Euro Cup (because they were the host), the previous Euro Cup in 2012 at which they were eliminated in the group stages.
