 Stade de France will host many of the matches of Euro 2016.

One of the stadium where the UEFA Euro 2016 matches will be held is stadium Stade de France located at  Saint-Denis  and approximately 9km  distance from  the center of Paris. The stadium was built for 1998 FIFA world cup and currently it is the home stadium for France National football team and France National Rugby team.

Stade de France has an capacity  of holding 81,338 fans. The field size of the stadium is 105 x 70 m.

Built in year 1995,Stade de France has hosted group,quarterfinal ,semifinal and final matches of 1998 FIFA World.On the final match, about 80,000 spectators attended the final between Brazil and France.Beside football,the stadium has also hosted  the Race of Champions auto race , 2003 World Championships in Athletics, Coupe de France (both football and rugby), Coupe de la Ligue, Challenge de France, and the Coupe Gambardella.

The stadium was unveiled on 28 January 1998 and the total expenditure to built the construction was expected to be  €290 million.The main reason of building the stadium was for 1998 FIFA World cup where the host was France. It was the first time that the stadium in France was built for specific purpose. It took almost two and half years to complete the construction of the stadium.

UEFA has confirmed that the final of Euro 2016 will be held at Stade de France alongside other group,round of 16 and Quarter final matches.

To reach the stadium,public transportation is preferred due to the limited Parking area.Spectators can get many public transport that travel  to the stadium from the center of Paris.
